Dermal fillers are a treatment for smoothing wrinkles in the face and adding volume to soft tissue. Administered via tiny injections of gel into areas such as the lip, eye, cheek, mouth, and jawline, they immediately produce a very subtle, and yet effective anti-ageing effect.

what are dermal fillers?

The term “Dermal Filler” encompasses a wide range of products.  Most of the fillers Dr Fitzgerald uses are made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) gel, a substance that occurs naturally in the skin and come in a range of fillers that are for different functions. Thicker fillers restore volume and structure to the face. Other fillers smooth fine lines and wrinkles to give a more youthful look. The Hyaluronic Acid attracts water, instantly restoring the skin’s natural plumpness.

Depending on what condition is being addressed, a dermal filler procedure will be different for each patient. The choice of product and technique will be tailored directly to you and your specific concerns, and the procedure will be explained to you in detail beforehand.
