Cheek Enhancement with Dermal Fillers
in London, Oxford & The South West
A subtle cheek treatment can do much to enhance and restore the harmonious proportions of the face. One of the first signs of ageing that people notice are the nose-to-mouth lines. These are actually caused by the melting away of fat pads underneath the eyes. This loss of support in the cheek area causes the skin to sag downwards and inwards, exaggerating the nasolabial fold.
Even when ageing is not an issue, a gentle cheek treatment, by subtly altering the proportions of the face, can enhance someone’s youthful beauty.

Cheek filler treatment FAQs
your questions answered
You will see a difference immediately, but the true results are only visible about 2-3 weeks later, when the product has had a chance to settle in and integrate with the tissue. At that time, you will be asked to come back for a review to check that the results are optimal.
The results of your cheek filler treatment should last 6-12 months. A maintenance treatment can prolong those results.
During your consultation with her, Dr Fitzgerald will discuss your desired outcome, medical history, and any health concerns you have in order to assess your suitability. Her comprehensive approach will ensure cheek fillers are the best option to help you enhance your natural beauty.
Cheek fillers are injectable dermal fillers that add volume to the cheekbones, enhancing facial contours.
A gel-like substance, made of hyaluronic acid, is carefully injected beneath the skin. This filler plumps up the cheek area, smoothing out wrinkles and creating a more youthful, lifted appearance. The gel integrates with your facial tissues, attracting moisture and supporting your skin from within.
There may be some mild swelling immediately after the treatment, which could persist for a couple of days. Most people leave the clinic looking fine and are able to go back to work immediately. Cheek treatments involve some deep injections, and bruising may develop over the next few days. It is not always possible to predict whether or not you will get a bruise, but if you do it can last (like any bruise) up to 2 weeks and may be difficult to hide with make-up. Think about scheduling your treatment to avoid any important social events in the unlikely event that you get significant bruising.

“Dr Melissa Fitzgerald has been treating me for around three years now. I am always delighted with the results. She really understands how to make subtle changes that make a real difference without being visible, and she has a real genuine care for her patients. It’s nerve wracking choosing someone to do things to your face – you want to know you have the right person, and I seriously recommend her!”
